An interactive visualization to look at how religious identities have shifted across the United States over the past 18 years. Our religion editor, Cathy Grossman, approached my producer, Thad Allender, and I about putting together a piece showcasing this information. She provided us with the numbers and we worked through different presentation scenarios. Thad also worked with Ryhne Piggott to create a great 3-part video series examining the reasoning behind these shifts and providing a look at some new identities such as Wiccan. This was the first project I built completely in ActionScript 3, thanks to the help of Juan Thomassie, and the Flash work was done in one week.
